First Blog of the Year- M1 Finance
Good New Year! I know it’s been a month since my last post but I have made it a goal this year to write a blog 2-3 times a week. So far I have failed on that but no more! I am still trying to figure out how this website will operate, what I will write about, who the target audience would be and I think I have a game plan in place.
For the first few posts, I will be writing about how my personal finances are set up. I will be providing a look at my accounts, how much I owe, my assets, and how I plan to attack my finances this year.
So first up is my dividend-paying stock account at M1 Finance. I started this account in Feb 2020 and I put in $4,937.50 for the 2020 year. In Jan 2021 I have so far put in $800. I plan on putting in $200 a week. Since opening it I have made $91.54 in dividends and my market gain is +$709.81. I am happy with what it has produced and look forward to seeing what 2021 brings. A link to which stocks I own and the percentage of my overall pie as of now is below.
